About A.P.
A.P. Sabourin has always had a passion for storytelling. After earning a BFA in Illustration at the University of Hartford, he joined the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and embarked on his journey into the children’s book industry. 2015 saw the release of the first chapter book he illustrated, The Adventures of Cardboard Man: The New Boots.
A traditionalist at heart, A.P. Sabourin uses graphite, pen and ink, and oil paints to bring his stories to life. He has garnered several awards in the field of illustration, including recognitions in The Society of Illustrators of LA Illustration West 46 and Illustration West 50 competitions.
Always passionate about art, when he’s not illustrating and writing stories, A.P. Sabourin flexes his creative muscles as a designer and illustrator at Gravity Switch, a local branding agency.
