| Biography Wendy Watson comes from a family that has been producing professional authors and artists for several generations. She grew up with seven younger brothers and sisters on a farm in Vermont, where she received her primary education and basic art training from her mother and father. She later studied painting and drawing with Jerry Farnsworth, Helen Sawyer, and Daniel Greene, and received an academic degree in Latin Literature from Bryn Mawr College. She has been a professional author and artist for more than thirty-five years. She is the author-illustrator of twenty books for children, and has illustrated more than eighty books for other authors. Her books have received many awards, and have appeared on numerous recommended lists, and her original artwork has been exhibited widely. She is a member of the Author's Guild.
